Purpose


In the Korean War, Canada was the 5th country to dispatch their Army, Navy and Air Force. Especially, PPCLI, the 2nd Brigade made great contribution in defending against the Chinese Force in April. We set up the monument to commemorate the lives of fallen soldiers and their military merit.


Heung Chun Area Battle Monument

Purpose

In March 7, 1951, 2nd Division of Canada started to attack Hongchun, and on March 11, they made great achievement to attack the Chinese Force around Yangdukwon-li, so that the Korean forces could easily secure the middle battle line. We set up the monument in memory of many fallen soldiers and their military merit.
