Purpose


On April 23 and 24 of 1951, the 27th Brigade of the Commonwealth Forces made big achievements in defeating the Chinese People’s Army’s 1st Spring Attack in an area 7km north of JukDunLi.
The UN members and GapyongGun established the monument to commemorate the lives of the fallen soldiers and their military merit.


Sulmari Battle Monument

Purpose

From April 22 to 25, 1951, the British forces fought to guard the freedom in the Sulmari Valley. The 1st Battalion, Gloucestershire Regiment, Trench Mortar Company soldiers had been sacrificed, so they set up the monument to commemorate these fallen soldiers.
