Article 2 Clause 12

Article II 12 stipulates as follows in order for the commanders of both sides to completely abandon any hostile activities and stop the war after the Armistice Agreement goes into effect. 12. The Commanders of the opposing sides shall order and enforce a complete cessation of all hostilities in Korea by all armed forces under their control, including all units and personnel of the ground, naval, and air force, effective twelve (12) hours after this Armistice Agreement is signed.


Article I 6 provides regulations on the eradication of any hostile activities after implementation of the DMZ. It says as follows:

6. Neither side shall execute any hostile act within, from, or against the Demilitarized Zone. This clause is interpreted as a clear ban on any hostility that may be directly and indirectly linked to the DMZ or any hostility on the Korean peninsula.
