August 6th, 1989.

Jwa su gae was disgruntled with the Chinese Government for the promotion and slaughter at the Tiananmen Square. On July 29, 1989, at around 11am, he along with his wife passed through the doorway of the NNSC meeting room and crossed the road, then through the woods opposite the room. A military personnel in the old Freedom House handed him to the UN, and according to his wish, he came to the US as an exile on August 6th, 1989.
