Built in the southern portion of JSA-Panmunjom in July 1998, the new Freedom House is a four-story building topped with transparent roof. It houses ¡®South and North Liaison Office¡¯ and ¡®South and North Red Cross Liaison Office¡¯ and functions as a liaison between the South and the North. It is also a facility that supports various forms of inter-Korean dialogues, contracts and exchanges. |
